Blatnica Caste
A short walk from the house up the valley on a safe car free road followed by a path in the woods leads to the historic Blatnica Castle.
A gentle 5km loop taking 1:30 to 2hrs with 140m of height
Ostrá - Tlstá Loop
Quite a strenuous walk but worth it.
Views from the top are amazing
If you are doing it in the summer, we recommend an early start and plenty of water

There are some nice variations for the adventurous or less fit

The full trip is a loop of 17km taking about 7hrs with 1,115m height
Devils Gate
There is a nice tarmac track up the Gader valley to the Devils Gate. Its a gentle walk, bike ride, roller blade or even eScooter trip to the top and down again.
A 16km walk talking about 4hrs with 250m of height
Or about 1/2hr each way by bike
Šútovský Waterfall
About 1/2hr drive from Blatnica is a lovely walk up to this waterfall, the 4th highest in the country. Its a gentle path that kids can enjoy with a spectacular waterfall at the end.
View Tower - Turistická rozhľadňa Krahulský vrch
About 1/2hr drive from Blatnica to the south is Krahule. A village with its own ski slope for the winter but there is also a nice gentle walk to the South West to this amazing view tower with stunning 360 view
Blatnica Valley
Running opposite to the Gader Valley is the lesser travelled Blatnica Valley.
A quieter and walk / ride up a gravel track to some stunning valley views of hills.
