Blatnica Caste
A short walk from the house up the valley on a safe car free road followed by a path in the woods leads to the historic Blatnica Castle
Ostrá - Tlstá Loop
Quite a strenuous walk but worth it.
Views from the top are amazing
If you are doing it in the summer, we recommend an early start

Devils Gate
There is a nice tarmac track up the Gader valley to the Devils Gate. Its a nice gentle walk, bike ride, roller blade or even eScooter trip to the top and down again
Šútovský Waterfall
About 1/2hr drive from Blatnica is a lovely walk up to this waterfall, the 4th highest in the country. Its a gentle path that kids can enjoy with a spectacular waterfall at the end.
View Tower - Turistická rozhľadňa Krahulský vrch
About 1/2hr drive from Blatnica to the south is Krahule. A village with its own ski slope for the winter but there is also a nice gentle walk to the South West to this amazing view tower with stunning 360 view
Blatnica Valley
Running opposite to the Gader Valley is the lesser travelled Blatnica Valley.
A quieter and walk / ride up a gravel track to some stunning valley views of hills.
